Signs have appeared on a Cardiff building announcing that a coffee shop chain with branches all across London will be opening in the capital soon. The Cardiff site would be the coffee chain's first shop in Wales.
The signs have appeared on Southgate House on Wood Street, Cardiff. The building's ground floor was extended to create three new units and a new reception editor after permission was granted by Cardiff Council in 2020.
The existing part of the ground floor had been home to JJ's Sandwich Bar and a cruise travel agent. Now signs advertising the new Black Sheep Coffee shop have appeared on the new extension of the building.

The London-based coffee chain was founded in 2013 by university flatmates Eirik Holth and Gabriel Shohet. It has expanded from a stall in Camden to having over 35 branches across the city - with more advertised to come - as well as sites in Edinburgh, Manchester, Birmingham, and Paris.
The Cardiff store would be the coffee chain's first Welsh site. The company offers a range of signature drinks, a coffee bean subscription and Norwegian waffles. Signature flavours include Robusta Revival, Rebel Decaf, Love Berries, Blue Volcano and Bossa Nova.
As well as a variety of coffees, the company also serves smoothies, including a mango and ginger smoothie and the 'Greengizer' smoothie, with apple, kale, pineapple, avocado, ginger, and apple juice. It also serves shakes, including a 'Berry Protein Shake' with blueberries, blackberries, bananas, vanilla protein, peanut butter, and oat milk, and a coffee and banana shake.
The Norwegian waffles on offer also come in a range of flavours, from Nutella to 'brown cheese' and jam - a Norwegian cheese served with a berry jam.
