CHICAGO — Lollapalooza has a couple adds to the upcoming festivities, including a new Sunday headliner: j-hope, member of the South Korean boy band BTS, will headline the Bud Light Seltzer Stage at 9 p.m. Sunday. And fellow K-pop band Tomorrow X Together will play Saturday.
According to an announcement late Tuesday from festival presenter C3 Presents, j-hope’s “performance will make history, cementing him as the first South Korean artist to ever headline a main stage at a major U.S. music festival.”
Lollapalooza announced its main lineup in March, including Metallica, J. Cole, Green Day, Machine Gun Kelly, Lil Baby and Kygo. The festival will be 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday, July 28 to Sunday, July 31 in Chicago’s lakefront Grant Park; all tickets on sale at www.lollapalooza.com.
