Logan Paul issues challenge as he signs official WWE contract after quitting boxing

YouTube star Logan Paul has called out wrestling icon The Miz after confirming that he has signed a contract with the WWE as he continues his fighting career.

Paul, 27, has of course been involved in boxing during his career having previously fought fellow YouTuber KSI twice - the first bout ending as a majority draw, whilst the former won the rematch back in November 2019.

He has also tackled boxing hero Floyd Mayweather - the two coming together just over a year ago in an exhibition clash. There has been plenty of controversy since with Paul claiming that he has not received payment from his opponent.

In the meantime, the YouTube star has elected to continue his fighting career elsewhere - in the WWE having previously appeared on an episode of WWE Smackdown last year and also featured at Wrestlemania 37.

It has been confirmed that Paul has signed a deal with WWE to feature more regularly. He took to Instagram on Thursday confirming the news. Alongside images of him penning a deal in between wrestling royalty Paul Levesque (Triple H) and Stephanie McMahon, he wrote: “Just signed with the @WWE”

It remains to be seen quite when Paul’s next appearance will be but multiple reports have suggested that he has signed a multi-year deal to compete at multiple events per year.

He also appeared to challenge The Miz with the final image of the three uploaded on his official account showing him holding up a message saying: “Coming 4 U @Miz”

The Miz - real name Michael Mizanan - also confirmed the news. Appearing on Monday Night Raw, he said: "Logan Paul and The Miz will return in the most must-see tag team in WWE history at SummerSlam.

"And we will continue our winning ways the same as we did with the Mysterios' at Wrestlemania."

It goes without saying that Paul will once again be keen to make an impression once more having previously hinted that the bosses at WWE were left impressed with his performances previously before penning a contract.

Speaking on a recent appearance on The True Geordie Podcast, he said: "I only trained two days, I am just scratching the surface for what I can do in that ring.

"Just wait, I'm so excited. I'll give it my all. I am considering [signing a deal]. I think they wanted to see what I could do, that was my case study."
