Logan Paul has admitted his relationship with Floyd Mayweather is "non-existent" as he insists he still has to be paid in full for their 2021 exhibition fight.
YouTube star Paul, who holds a professional record of 0-1, faced legendary 50-0 boxer Mayweather at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami almost two years ago, going the distance in a scoreless exhibition bout. And he has claimed on a number of occasions he is still owed a large portion of his payout from the event.
The social media sensation dragged out a relatively uneventful eight rounds from multiple-weight former world champion Mayweather, using his massive 35lb size advantage to nullify his rival. And despite the fact that Mayweather's farcical exhibitions have lost their steam in recent times, this fight was a massive hit at the box office, selling a reported 1million pay-per-views.
But speaking with Kevin Hart during an episode of the comedian's show Cold as Balls, Paul said that the pair's relationship is now "non-existent". "I owe Floyd a thanks," Paul said, before going into details of the post-fight issues. " Floyd Mayweather, I look forward to receiving the rest of the money you owe me, but thank you.
"From the bottom of my heart, thank you. He gave me an opportunity." When Hart quizzed him further, he responded that the pair's relationship "was good," before adding: "There was, like, a money thing. But we'll get it figured out." Hart joked that Paul must not know the history of boxing if he expected there to be money issues, to which the YouTuber joked "that's news to me."
Paul started boxing in 2018 when he faced fellow YouTuber KSI in a white collar bout at the Manchester Arena. That one ended in a draw, with the pair turning professional for the Los Angeles rematch that ended up going in favour of the Brit by way of split decision.
But he has stuck with the sport, telling Hart: "I don't think people understand the type of mental toll that the sport can take on you. Physically, obviously, it's hard - you have to be able to get hit in the face. I remember the week before I fought Floyd I was in my hotel room by myself with my mind about to implode."

The comedian then noted that he was about to face "arguably the greatest boxer of all time," to which Paul reminded him that he was no more than an "0-1 YouTuber". Hart then added: "It's great that you got the job done of getting the paperwork 'I got Floyd Mayweather to agree to fight me.
"That's the win, because you got in there and not only that but you gave a respectable performance to where people walked away and it's not a gimmick anymore." Mayweather has previously insisted Paul was paid, claiming that the social media star wanted another exhibition.
He dismissed the claims, saying: "This is the guy who said he didn't get paid, which we know is truly false, which is why I don't entertain the bull**** a lot of the time. We know he got paid and if he didn't get paid he wouldn't be trying to get another payday. It is so crazy that Logan Paul wants to do an exhibition again but it is the same guy that said he didn't get paid. It is what it is."
