Delhi Police has set up around 120–130 pink booths across the capital since 2021 to help women report complaints and access assistance. But with questions mounting over women’s safety following recent rape cases, are these booths delivering on their promise?
We visited seven pink booths across north and east Delhi to assess how they function. Some were locked, while others had no women police personnel on duty. We also found poor upkeep and unhygienic surroundings at some locations.
