Lock Upp fame Sara Khan on learning from her mistakes: I took my success for granted, but I didn’t know any better as I was naive then

It’s only human to make mistakes, learn from them, and vow never to repeat them. That’s how one evolves in life. Sara Khan, who became an overnight sensation with her stint on her debut show, Sapna Babul Ka Bidaai, couldn’t agree more. Once controversy’s favourite child, the actress has come a long way. Today, she is content and settled in life, both personally and professionally. She is going strong with her beau Shantanu Raje, a pilot and a restaurateur, and on the work front, she is busy shooting for Spy Bahu.

But there is no success story without ups and downs and Sara, too, had her share of slip-ups. Ask her if she took her success soon after her first show hit the tube for granted and the actress replies, “Yes, but then I didn’t know any better. Am I successful? Is this success? Am I popular? I had no idea or understanding of it back then because I was too young and naïve. I was 18 when I started acting. Bina kuchh struggle kiye aapko pehle hi show se itni success mil jaana toh aapko uski value nahi hoti. Usko samajhne ke liye life threw curve balls at me and they were for my own good. Today, I value everything a lot more.”
