A little white robot on wheels turned baffled locals' heads after it was seen driving around itself on the streets of Sale in Greater Manchester. The small, nifty device was spotted travelling along The Avenue and Sidmouth Road yesterday, which left passersby double-taking as it confidently wheeled its own way down the pavement.
The robot belongs to Starship Delivery Robots - a business that offers a 'meal on six wheels' where their devices can carry groceries, hot food or parcels over short distances before delivering them at the customer's doorstep. The delivery droid is currently being tested in Trafford, the MEN reports.
Videos and pictures of the self-operating machine were posted to a Sale Facebook page while tests were being carried out on Wednesday. Confused social media users in the comments were forced to 'look twice' at the futuristic invention.
