Locals furious over plans for 'eyesore' 16m phone mast next to their homes

Plans for a 16m high phone mast in Armadale have been met with resistance from locals.

Reading-based Cignal Infrastructure UK Limited has applied for permission to erect the telecommunications monopole at Birkenshaw Way.

But people living nearby are objecting to the plans, saying it would be an “eyesore to the community”, is too close to houses and questioned the safety of the masts.
