Fleetwood Hesketh skipper Matty Howard hopes his side’s winter recruitment will make for a more comfortable season in Division One of the Love Lane Liverpool Competition.

Hesketh finished 2021 just 14 points clear of the bottom two, securing their safety with a last-day win at Ainsdale after a run of six consecutive defeats.

Howard hopes some more experienced heads in the batting department will keep them clear of trouble this time round.
