Lizzo helped an emotional fan propose to his boyfriend during her sold out show in Glasgow on Wednesday night. The Grammy award-winning star was performing in front of thousands of fans at the OVO Hydro when a woman held her phone up to the huge screens with the words: "Ask my brother's boyfriend to marry him."
Lizzo brought the venue to a halt and asked crew to hold a microphone up to the man's mouth, when he said: "Will you marry me?" The venue erupted with huge cheers and claps, before he added: "For the love of god, just say yes."
Lizzo then asked: "What do you say?," to which the man replied "yes". The singer then shouted into the crowd: "Can we get a f****** yes". She later congratulated the happy couple.
STV's Entertainment reporter Laura Boyd caught the incredible moment on camera, and later posted the footage on Twitter, with the caption: "Waaaah congratulations Grant! The most amazing moment with @lizzo helping him get engaged live @OVOHydro"
Lizzo declared her love for Scotland ahead of her gig - and she was snapped leaving a hotel in Glasgow city centre after flying in from Paris earlier this week.
In an interview on BBC Radio 6 and BBC Sounds earlier today, she told host Nemone, who was sitting in for Mary Anne Hobbs: "I love Scotland. I toured Scotland with CHVRCHES and that was some of the most fun I’ve ever had."
She then spoke of her favourite city nightspot, saying: "Isn’t Nice N Sleazy in Scotland, in Glasgow? Nice N Sleazy, I’ll see you there!"
During the interview for International Women’s Day, she also spoke about women who have inspired her, including Beyonce and Queen Latifah - and the importance of self-love. Lizzo added: "‘Man, [Queen Latifah is] a household name and a staple and can do everything."
