Liz Truss promises to tackle cost of living crisis at Cheltenham hustings

Liz Truss has defended her plans to tackle the cost of living crisis and warned there is a “real danger of us talking ourselves into a recession”, during the latest hustings.

Speaking in Cheltenham, Ms Truss said she would help lower people’s energy bills via tax cuts, after analysts warned energy bills could rise to £3,582 in October.
