Liz Truss has been mocked online after an old tweet in which she mourned the death of paedophile Jimmy Savile emerged.
The former Foreign Secretary was announced as the new Prime Minister this afternoon, after beating rival Rishi Sunak in a contest to succeed Boris Johnson as leader of the Conservative Party.
But just moments before the announcement, an undeleted tweet she had made about Savile after his death resurfaced on social media.
