Outgoing Livingston Women’s boss Paul Jaconelli says it was time to put family first after he announced his departure from the role.
The Lionesses sealed promotion to SWPL2 after a fine season but Jaconelli won’t be part of the journey as they are set to feature in the second tier.
And he believes the club has been left in a good place, saying: “I could have gone earlier but I felt it was important to see out the season.
“It’s the right time for me to step away and spend more time with my family. They’ve made plenty of sacrifices for me and football.
“I think the club is in a good place with the first team and reserves now being added to with a youth set-up. I hope they keep going from strength to strength. I want to thank all the players, coaches, sponsors and everyone associated with the club and wish them all the best.”
