Livingston FC have confirmed the signing of a new defensive midfielder, Scott Bitsindou, from Belgian side KSK Lierse Kempenzonen.
The 26-year-old has had spells in Switzerland, Serbia and most recently Belgium as well as having made his international debut for Congo last Summer - he started out from the Anderlecht Youth Academy.
Scott is the first signing announced for Livingston today, and joins on a 2-year-deal with the club - having an option of a 3rd year - and will wear the number 20 shirt.
Manager David Martindale said:"I'm really pleased to announce Scott and that we managed to get this one over the line.
"Scott is coming from a market that I hope to be more active in during the forthcoming seasons - a market that I feel there is a lot of value in. The calibre of player that we can attract for the finances available at a club our size helps deliver best value for money.
"We have watched hours of footage of the player who can play as a central defender or defensive midfielder, the latter being a position he has been playing more recently with Lierse S.K. Scott has also played international football for the Republic of Congo.
"Scott came through the Anderlecht academy and knows Stephane Omeonga from their days together there. He will bring a bit of physicality to the team and is very athletic and covers the ground well. He can look after the ball and has played enough football at a decent level to suggest the adaptation period should be relatively quick."
Scott will play his first game next season, joining the team in pre-season this summer.
