Liverpool are without Alisson as they meet Galatasaray again in the Champions League tonight, but Florian Wirtz has returned to the starting lineup.
The Reds’ first-choice shot-stopper felt some minor discomfort following an open training session on Monday and was ruled out of this evening’s last-16 first-leg trip to Turkey.

Reds boss Arne Slot said at his pre-match press conference that he did not expect Alisson’s injury to be a “big thing” and that there is “definitely a chance” that he will return for Sunday’s Premier League clash with Tottenham.
The Brazilian is by usual deputy Giorgi Mamardashvili in goal, as he was due to a hamstring injury in Liverpool’s last game at RAMS Park, where the Merseysiders lost 1-0 during the early stages of this season’s league phase.
Florian Wirtz returns to the Liverpool starting XI tonight, however, having missed three matches with a back niggle that he sustained in the warm-up ahead of the 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest last month.
Wirtz withdrew late from Slot’s starting lineup that day, and sat out Liverpool’s subsequent fixtures against West Ham and Wolves in the Premier League before returning off the bench at Molineux in the FA Cup on Friday night, replacing youngster Rio Ngumoha.
Alexander Isak, Giovanni Leoni, Wataru Endo and Conor Bradley are all out for extended spells with their respective long-term injuries.
Jeremie Frimpong has made a full recovery from his latest setback, but he is named on the bench with Joe Gomez handed a start.
Ibrahima Konate and captain Virgil van Dijk will be in the middle of defence as usual, and Milos Kerkez completes the back four despite positional rival Andy Robertson’s FA Cup heroics last week.
In midfield, Ryan Gravenberch - fresh off his new contract at Anfield - is partnered by Alexis Mac Allister as usual.
Dominik Szoboszlai starts ahead of them, but Cody Gakpo is benched meaning Wirtz may be playing off the left unless Slot opts for a narrow in-game formation.
Elsewhere, Mohamed Salah and Hugo Ekitike both start while Federico Chiesa misses out after he was absent from training on Monday.
