Liverpool XI vs Bournemouth: Starting lineup, confirmed team news, injury latest for Premier League

Liverpool face Bournemouth at the Vitality - (London Standard)

Mohamed Salah makes his first Premier League start in two months when Liverpool play Bournemouth at the Vitality.

Salah returned after the Africa Cup of Nations in Wednesday’s 3-0 Champions League win in Marseille and Arne Slot says he is ready to go again on the south coast.

“Knowing Mo, he is ready to play,” said Slot on Friday. “Because he has shown that so many times in his career.”

Ibrahima Konate remains unavailable following the passing of his father.

Joe Gomez will start alongside Virgil van Dijk at centre-back.

“I spoke to [Konate] a few times,” said Slot. “I think these are private matters and they should stay between us.

“It's very obvious that if something like that happens, a player needs time to be there for his family and also time for himself.”

Federico Chiesa was rated a “50/50” fitness doubt after missing the Marseille game and has not made the squad here.

Slot said: “For the rest, no-one picked up a knock after the game. I expect all the same players to be available again.”

Andy Robertson is in the squad despite ongoing talks over a transfer to Tottenham.

In midfield, Alexis Mac Allister gets the nod alongside Ryan Gravenberch and Dominik Szoboszlai.

Liverpool XI: Alisson; Frimpong, Gomez, Van Dijk, Kerkez; Szoboszlai, Mac Allister, Gravenberch; Salah, Gakpo, Wirtz

Subs: Mamardashvili, Woodman, Endo, Jones, Ekitike, Robertson, Nyoni, Ramsay, Ngumoha

Injured: Chiesa, Isak, Bradley, Leoni

Unavailable: Konate

Time and date: 5.30pm on Saturday, January 24, 2026
