Rachael Laws 7
Made a number of smart saves and repeatedly denied Katja Snoeijs in particular. Did she really need to tip Megan Finnigan’s shot over the bar before the opener, though?
Emma Koivisto 5
Beaten too easily in the air by Finnigan for the opening goal. Looked to get forward and support the attack but didn’t see enough of the ball on her flank. Subbed.
Gilly Flaherty 6
In the right place at the right time on a couple of occasions to clear as Liverpool struggled to contain Everton on the counter. Booked.

Niamh Fahey 6
A couple of no-nonsense clearances from the captain, she brought the ball out of defence well organised her side as Liverpool tried in vain to fight back from falling behind early on.
Jasmine Matthews 5
Caught out under the high ball for Everton’s second goal as Jess Park got in behind her. The Everton forward caused her numerous problems before she was withdrawn before the hour-mark.
Megan Campbell 7
Got forward well and her long-throws looked to be the Reds’ best chance of scoring. Earned loud cheers for a thunderous tackle on Park to stop a dangerous Everton attack. Lost possession for the third goal.
Missy Bo Kearns 5
Pretty anonymous display as Liverpool were outnumbered in midfield and struggled to get a hold of the ball. Subbed at half-time.
Ceri Holland 6
Missed a glorious chance to halve the deficit when bending wide following a corner. Like Kearns, a quiet showing in midfield in the first half but improved after the break.
Melissa Lawley 6
Showed some neat touches and performed one glorious nutmeg but unfortunately it came to nothing. A threat when she was on the ball, sadly wasn’t on it enough. Subbed.
Katie Stengel 6
Did really well to steal possession and create a shooting opportunity, but then wasted the chance by getting caught in two minds and the ball stuck under her feet before hammering over. Otherwise, isolated in attack for the majority as Liverpool struggled to get the ball into the box. Headed over the bar late one when she should have at least hit the target.
Taylor Hinds 7
Impressed on the ball and beat a number of players with one burst into the box in particular. Had a couple of shots blocked. An increasing threat in the second half as she looked to beat her woman and cross into the box.
Subs
Rachel Furness (on for Kearns, 46) 7
Offered more of a presence in midfield to neutralise the game after the break. Denied by Courtney Brosnan after having Liverpool’s first shot on target with an acrobatic volley, before seeing a header deflected wide.
Yana Daniels (on for Matthews, 56) 6
Her heavy touch in the Everton box led to the counter-attack for the third goal. Wasted a glorious chance from close range to net a late consolation.
Charlotte Wardlaw (on for Lawley, 72) 6
Brought on as an extra body in midfield as Liverpool belatedly changed formation, it came too little too late to stage a comeback.
Rhiannon Roberts (on for Koivisto, 72) 6
Got forward well and sent in a couple of dangerous crosses. Stengel should have scored from one in stoppage-time.
