The Met Office has issued an Amber heat warning covering England and parts of Wales.
The warning is in place from Thursday until the end of Sunday, with forecasters saying there will be impacts possible to "health , transport and infrastructure." Temperatures are already beginning to rise and are expected to peak on Friday thanks to the influence of high pressure.
Despite the mercury hitting low-to-mid 30C down south, the temperatures are not expected to be as high as those experienced in July. Across Merseyside, it's expected to hit a sweltering 29C.
