Jurgen Klopp is eager to improve Liverpool's season after a disappointing one so far but will have to first address the issue of Everton who are off to a great start under new head coach Sean Dyche. The Reds are 12 points from the Champions League spots and are on a four-match winless run in the Premier League while Everton surprised everyone by beating Arsenal at Goodison Park last weekend.
The Reds are the favourites ahead of the Merseyside Derby at 4/6 with Betfred while Dyche's side are 4/1 and a draw is 3/1. Liverpool have lost just once in their last 22 home league encounters with the Toffees - winning 12 and drawing nine times in that time - when they lost 2-0 two years ago this month.
Both sides will be looking to improve on their current form and their seasons as a whole but a win in the derby will certainly put one side on the right track. The Toffees have a great chance of getting out of the relegation zone for the first time since the start of the New Year while the hosts want to capitalise on one of their two games-in-hand.
