Andy Hunter was at Anfield tonight. Here’s his match report. Thanks for reading this MBM.
Xabi Alonso’s turn to speak to Amazon. “It was really tight … for sure they had momentum in the second half … we conceded too many fouls … we tried … it was always going to be a high-intense game … unluckily we couldn’t get anything … we have tried for sure … reached the last line but didn’t create many chances … the small details today went Liverpool’s way … we are lucky we have [Courtois] … he made great saves today … Liverpool have good tempo … good players … there are still many points to play … [Trent] was focused … he wanted to be with the team and part of it … there are big challenges for him … new experiences … step by step but we are happy we have him.”
