Liverpool look set to pass on Sporting Lisbon midfielder Matheus Nunes after rumoured interest - but time is still available for Jurgen Klopp to strengthen in this position of the team.
With Thiago Alcantara sidelined and the Reds' injury list only continuing by the game, many have argued the time has come for the club to recruit to provide adequate depth over the course of the campaign. First-team opportunities are proving difficult to come by for the 26-year-old, who reportedly finds himself in a 'complicated situation' as his future hangs in the balance.
