Liverpool transfer news: Jurgen Klopp addresses Alexis Mac Allister reports

Jurgen Klopp insists there is nothing to report on Liverpool’s reported chase of Brighton midfielder Alexis Mac Allister.

Ahead of what is expected to be a major rebuild at Anfield this summer, the Argentine World Cup winner has strongly been linked with a move to the Merseyside giants.

After pulling out of a move for Jude Bellingham, Mac Allister – who has previously been of interest to Chelsea too – has been touted as a major £70m target.

The player’s father has already admitted his son will “likely” move on from Brighton at the end of the season after a productive four-year spell on the south coast.

Brighton have tended to sell some of their bigger name players over the last few years, albeit while extracting maximum value from buying clubs before replacing them with a seemingly endless cast of astute additions.

The Seagulls are being tipped to sign James Milner on a free transfer from Liverpool this summer, reuniting him with Adam Lallana at the Amex Stadium.

Speaking of a potential move for Mac Allister, Klopp said: “With all other things transfer-wise, [you will be] the first to be informed if something will happen. Before that nothing really to say about it.”
