Liverpool could yet be set to seal some late deals this summer with Jurgen Klopp having confirmed that the Reds are on the hunt for additions.
The Merseysiders need to add more bodies into their midfield following a number of injury issues over recent weeks having appeared to have wrapped up their business earlier this summer. It of course remains to be seen who will arrive at Anfield before the end of the transfer window.
With just a number of days remaining of the window, make sure you take a look at the latest rumours coming out of Anfield over the past 24 hours.
Liverpool lodge Frenkie de Jong ‘offer’
Amid their search for midfield recruits this summer, Liverpool have attempted to beat great rivals Manchester United to the signing of Frenkie de Jong.
According to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, the Reds have offered €70million (£59.3million) for the services of the Dutch midfielder. It remains to be seen if that will be enough to tempt the Catalan giants into a sale but a move might prove tricky considering the difficulty that the Red Devils have found whilst attempting to seal a deal for the former Ajax star.
Erik ten Hag’s men have since moved onto alternative targets having sealed a deal for Brazilian midfielder Casemiro from Real Madrid.

Konrad Laimer eyed
Should the Reds fail to seal a deal for De Jong before the end of the current window, they could potentially move for RB Leipzig star Konrad Laimer.
That is according to 90min, who suggest that the Austrian is among a lengthy list of names that Liverpool have considered since deciding to dip into the transfer market.
Laimer has just one year remaining on his current contract with the Bundesliga giants and could potentially be available for as little as €22million (£18.6million).
Liverpool backed to make swap offer
Liverpool could potentially make one last attempt to sign PSG midfielder Leandro Paredes before the end of the transfer market.
As per CalcioMercatoWeb, the Reds could offer Brazilian forward Roberto Firmino to the French giants in part-exchange. However, it might prove difficult.
According to the reports, Juventus are leading the race for the Argentinian midfielder whilst AS Roma are also interested in a move.
