Welcome to a recap of our Liverpool transfer deadline day Q&A as our writers explained why there were no major incomings on the final day of the window and what lies ahead in the summer.
Liverpool's only major signing this window was the arrival of Dutch attacker Cody Gakpo. He joined Liverpool from PSV Eindhoven in a deal which could be worth £40m right at the start of the month, although he has yet to really make much of an impact at Anfield.
There is no doubting the fact the Reds now face a big ask to overhaul their bitter rivals and secure a place in next season's Champions League to ensure Jurgen Klopp has valuable funds to strengthen in the summer.
