Liverpool 'told to pay €‎100m' to sign striker also wanted by Manchester United

Liverpool are being credited with an interest in signing Eintracht Frankfurt striker Randal Kolo Muani.

The 24-year-old impressed at the World Cup with France, which has seen interest in his services grow. Kolo Muani almost scored in the final against Argentina, after only coming on as a substitute.

Kolo Muani only moved to Frankfurt last summer from French club Nantes. He moved to Germany on a free transfer, after his contract had expired.

After an impressive World Cup, clubs across Europe are being linked with a move for the striker. Liverpool are now reported to have an interest, according to a report from French news outlet L’Equipe.

It has been claimed that the Reds have begun working on a deal to sign Kolo Muani in the summer. However, it has been added that Manchester United are also doing the same, as they too are said to be keen on signing the striker.

Further to this, the article states that Frankfurt have set a sizable asking price for clubs wishing to sign Kolo Muani. It has been claimed that a fee worth €‎100m (£89m) would be needed to prise the striker away from the Bundesliga club.
