Ex-Manchester United striker Louis Saha has compared Liverpool target Alexis Mac Allister to his former team-mate Paul Scholes.
Alexis Mac Allister could be set to leave Brighton & Hove Albion in the summer transfer window with Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United all linked with a move for the World Cup winner.
The 24-year-old has earned plaudits for his performances for the Seagulls in the Premier League this season and his displays for Argentina as they went on to win the World Cup in Qatar in December.

Ex-France international Saha has admitted Mac Allister is a "quality player" and would be a great buy for the Reds if they were to fight off interest from elsewhere.
“Alexis Mac Allister would be a good signing for Liverpool," Saha told Paddy Power. "He’s a quality player and he’s very smart. He plays with a nice tempo and can control the rhythm of any side. He’s got the composure that every team wants.
“He reminds me a bit of Paul Scholes back in the day in the way he plays. In the decisive moment, he makes very clever moves. The only area he’s lacking compared to Paul Scholes is in his goals.
"I really like him and he’s definitely shown he can adapt to any team. Liverpool need a refresher in midfield so it’s a move that makes sense for both.”
