The Met Office has issued two days of weather warnings for Liverpool ahead of the Grand National festival.
The city is set to be battered by strong winds on Tuesday and Wednesday, when a yellow weather warning for wind is in place. According to the latest forecast for Liverpool, gusts of up to 50mph winds could cause some travel disruption including delays to public transport.
The warning comes into force at 3pm on Tuesday until 6am on Wednesday, April 12. Delays are also expected for high-sided vehicles when travelling on exposed routes and bridges. The Met Office said there could be some short term loss of power and it's likely that sea fronts and coastal communities will be affected by spray and/or large waves.
