Liverpool will be without new striker Darwin Nunez for their upcoming fixture against Manchester United after he was sent off for violent conduct against Crystal Palace on Monday.
Nunez made a good start to life in the Premier League after scoring on his debut against Fulham on the opening weekend, which earned him a starting berth in his first match at Anfield. Jurgen Klopp's side were 1-0 down to Palace following Wilfried Zaha's fine first-half opener when Nunez saw red midway through the second 45.
The Uruguayan striker was grabbed by Palace centre-back Joachim Andersen and reacted by headbutting the Dane, giving referee Paul Tierney little choice but to brandish a straight red card. The dismissal will see Nunez suspended for next Monday's trip to Old Trafford.

It will be a timely boost for Erik ten Hag, who needs all the luck he can get after a terrible start to life as United manager. He has seen his side beaten by Brighton and Brentford in his opening two games, with the Bees hammering his side 4-0 in an astonishing match on Saturday.
The prospect of facing fierce rivals Liverpool is certainly daunting after such a start but their squad is set to be further depleted with Nunez's suspension. The Merseyside outfit are especially light on attacking options with Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino currently out through injury. Thiago Alcantara, Curtis Jones, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Ibrahima Konate, Joel Matip, Calvin Ramsay and Caoimhin Kelleher are also sidelined at present.
