Kostas Tsimkas may not have got on the pitch against Watford on Saturday but the defender was still celebrated by his teammates after the game at Anfield.
The Reds won 2-0 against Watford to maintain their pressure on Manchester City in the Premier League title race. Jurgen Klopp’s side won their 10th consecutive league game this weekend, ahead of crucial clashes against Benfica and Manchester City next week.
However, away from the pitch, Tsimikas has become something of a cult figure within the Liverpool squad . And the ‘Greek Scouser’ attracted attention from his teammates with his latest post on social media.

Showcasing his fresh haircut on Instagram, the full-back had swapped his normal fringe for a more slicked-back look. The new style was accompanied by the Greece international wearing a suit and glasses, which sparked a response from several Liverpool players.
Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz both replied with customary fire emojis, while James Milner was also among those in the comments. In something resembling a goalkeepers’ union, Loris Karius replied with “Mama Mia”, while Adrian responded with “What a handsome guy!”
However, Alisson Becker somewhat broke the mould. Analysing the rest of Tsimikas ’ outfit, the Brazilian keeper decided he wasn’t a fan and commented “Nice shoes” along with a dog emoji.
Tsimikas has grown to be a vital part of Jurgen Klopp’s squad this term, after a difficult first season with the Reds. Providing quality back-up and a rotation option for Andy Robertson, the left-back has made 20 appearances for Liverpool in all competitions, registering four assists.
