On Wednesday evening Liverpool will visit the familiar surroundings of the newly-named Diego Armando Maradona Stadium as they get their 2022/23 Champions League campaign underway.
Ahead of descending on the region of Campania on Tuesday evening, where Naples is located, the Reds have been training at the AXA Training centre on Tuesday morning as they start their preparations for the clash with Luciano Spalletti's side.
The biggest news from the training session, which welcomed sections of the press for the opening exchanges, was that Thiago Alcantara took part after missing the last four weeks with a hamstring injury he sustained during the 2-2 draw with Fulham at Craven Cottage on August 6.

Having made his return to full training on Monday night, the Spaniard's involvement in Tuesday's light session will undoubtedly boost his prospects of featuring in Naples on Wednesday, even if his manager remained coy on his chance when asked by BT Sport's Des Kelly following Saturday's stalemate with Everton.
Elsewhere, Arthur Melo also took part in the full session as he continues to adapt to life on Merseyside and build up his fitness after not featuring for former club Juventus since May 11.
Neither Curtis Jones nor Fabio Carvalho were involved in the session,. with the latter being withdrawn at half-time in the Merseyside derby after being on the receiving end of a hefty challenge from the Toffees' new boy Amadou Onanna.
Meanwhile, the reasons behind Jones' omission from the 20-man squad that made the short trip to Goodison Park were unknown, with the youngster missing the game just days after marking his return from injury with a place on the bench against Newcastle United.
As expected, there was no sign of longer-term absentees Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain or Naby Keita, who were both left out of the Reds' squad for the group stage. While Jordan Henderson was also absent with a hamstring issue.
Full squad available for Liverpool vs Napoli.

Defenders: Alexander-Arnold, Mabaya, Gomez, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson, Tsimikas
