Liverpool have donated a signed 'Anderton 16' shirt for Bristol Rovers full-back Nick Anderton after he was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer.
Jurgen Klopp and his side were pictured holding the Reds shirt with the former Accrington Stanley defender's name and number on the back.
In July, it was sadly confirmed that the 26-year-old had a rare form of bone cancer which halted has his playing career. He successfully underwent an operation in December to remove the tumorous area affecting his femur.

However, following further analysis on the tumour, the biopsy revealed that the cancerous cells were more aggressive than previously thought. As a result, Anderton has been undergoing chemotherapy treatment expected to last several months.
On Friday (February 3), the official Bristol Rovers Twitter account tweeted a picture of the Liverpool players and management staff with the shirt thanking them for the gesture.
In a post, they said: "The @LFC team and staff had heard about our Nick Anderton fundraising efforts and have kindly donated a signed 'Anderton 16' Liverpool shirt! What a brilliant gesture - thank you."
Last month, Joey Barton's side and coaching staff shaved their heads in support of their teammate after the fundraiser passed the £26,000 mark.
"It will keep the wolves from the door and allow him to focus on his recovery," he said. "He's got a new baby in the house as well, so it's the minimum we can do and we're thankful to everybody who has donated or shared and raised awareness.
"Every pound, every penny will make a difference in terms of helping Nick with his recovery."
