Nottingham Forest fans have reacted to Liverpool’s 2-0 win over Merseyside rivals Everton, with the result being good news for the Reds.
Goals from Mo Salah and Cody Gakpo each side of half time saw Liverpool come out as 2-0 winners over Everton. It is a result which leaves the Toffees in the third and final relegation spot.
It also means that Forest maintain their six-point gap to the bottom three despite a 2-0 loss against Fulham at the weekend. Goals from Willian and Manor Solomon ended Steve Cooper’s side’s unbeaten run in the Premier League and had them looking over their shoulder.

Should Everton have taken something from the game, it would have reduced the gap to the relegation zone. But Forest have instead maintained their two-win cushion.
They will look to pull off an upset in their next outing and increase that gap further when they take on reigning Premier League champions Manchester City at the City Ground on Saturday (3pm kick off).
Following Liverpool’s win over Everton, Forest fans took to social media to give their reaction. Here’s what just some had to say...
Adie Hull : Leeds and Everton losing makes Saturdays result a bit more tolerable.
@FunFoodForest : Looks like we'll end this game week the same number of points ahead of the relegation places as we started it. Could've been a lot worse. Another set of matches ticked off.
Darren Lycett : This might be the first time I’ve ever wanted Liverpool to win.
Ant : Boom!! game over.
Shazal123 : That's it keep Everton down there.
Dave : Wouldn't normally want Liverpool to win the Merseyside derby, but this season with Everton deep in the more, I say get in!
Ethan Lamb : Even though we may have lost this weekend we still sit six points above the drop zone. 16 more cup finals to go between now and the end of the season.
Phil Randall : I genuinely feel so bad wishing epic failure and relegation on Dyche, Stone and Woan. BUT that’s the way it crumbles sometimes.
