Liverpool have been backed by one of their former players to sign Jude Bellingham.
The Reds have been heavily linked with a move for the Borussia Dortmund midfielder for more than a year. Bellingham is well known to be a player of interest to Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool, but it remains to be seen whether a move materialises.
Rumours linking Liverpool with a move for Bellingham intensified over the summer, with a possible new midfielder the main talking point of the transfer window. In the end, though, the 20-year-old remained at Dortmund.

Bellingham was recently in action on Tuesday night as Dortmund beat FC Copenhagen 3-0 in the Champions League. He was on the scoresheet, as he bagged his second goal of the season.
Former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy has backed the Reds to sign Bellingham in the future. Murphy went on to explain why he thinks the Dortmund star would be a good addition at Anfield
“That would be a hell of a signing. it would change the dynamic of the midfield, in terms of that he’s an attacking, goalscoring midfielder,” Murphy told Talksport.
“He’s a super player. Some of the attributes he’s got for such a young man.
“I liked his celebration when he scored last night actually. As if to say; ‘Here I am, look at me’.”
