Liverpool moved to within one point of Premier League leaders Manchester City after their Merseyside derby victory at Anfield.
The Reds recorded a 2-0 win over Everton on Sunday to close the gap on City, who had opened up a four-point advantage after winning 5-1 at home to Watford on Saturday. Second-half goals from Andy Robertson and Divock Origi secured the points.
Jurgen Klopp’s side, who remain in the hunt for an unprecedented quadruple, have five league matches left to play - as do the defending champions.
