Deliveroo have revealed Liverpool’s most popular takeaway orders.
The food delivery service celebrated six years of operation in the city last month. In celebration of that milestone, the company has revealed the eating habits of Scousers, including the 10 most popular dishes and our favourite side order and desert.
Like last year, Chicken Katsu Curry from Church Street restaurant Kokoro topped the list of most ordered meals. The dish is described Kokoro’s website as one of its “most popular menu items” and contains panko breaded chicken thigh paired with curry sauce, offered on a base of either steamed rice or noodles.
Fried chicken outlet Popeyes, which is based on Lord Street, clinched second place with its Spicy Chicken Sandwich. Indian restaurant Taj on Lark Lane came third with its Poppadoms.

Egg fried rice from Chy on Renshaw Street finished fourth, which is no surprise considering it is the highest rated Chinese restaurant in the city according to TripAdvisor. with a classic margherita pizza from Rudy's just behind in fifth place.
El Taco in the Baltic came sixth with its massive Embrace the Taco Love meal, which contains four tacos, chips and a drink. Cha Siu Bao from fellow Lark Lane restaurant Yum Cha came seventh.
A Classic Pita from Greek street food venue Laros is the eighth most popular takeaway meal. Egg Fried Noodles and the Spicy! Deluxe Chicken Sandwich from Yum Cha and Popeyes respectively rounded up the top 10.
Meanwhile, a hash brown is Liverpool’s most ordered side on Deliveroo, while a chocolate brownie tops the desert list. Furthermore, a new popular city centre coffee shop can now be ordered via the app.
92 Degrees, which can be found at several locations including Hardman Street and Jamaica Street, is available to deliver exclusively on Deliveroo. Fresh coffee, as well as a selection of sandwiches, cakes and snakes, can be ordered from the shop.
