Liverpool’s famed luxury department store, Cricket, is finally launching an online platform.
In 1991, founder Justine Mills launched a shop that, unbeknown to her, would become a luxury retailer known across the whole of the UK. The initial Cricket store began when Justine, then aged 18, opened Cricket as a menswear boutique in Cavern Walks on Mathew Street.
For more than 30 years, Cricket has remained a firm favourite in the city thanks to its wide array of luxury fashion retail, maintaining its position through its unique edit and cult following. With the launch of cricket-fashion.com, founder Justine aims to bring her fashion-forward approach to retail to digital customers, without losing Cricket’s intimate and curated retail approach.

Cricket’s online offerings will include a mix of men’s, women’s and children’s items, from fashion houses including Balenciaga, Saint Laurent and Off-White. In addition to free returns, next day delivery will be available across the UK, with Cricket's beloved leopard and zebra print packages landing on customers’ doorsteps for the first time.
Digital creative director, Alec Maxwell of KLOSS Films, has joined the Cricket team as image director, overseeing the aesthetic of all digital channels and content, including the new online site. Justine Mills gathered a special handful of her 'Cricket community' to create a dedicated campaign in celebration of the site’s launch, including long-time hometown fans Coleen Rooney and her son, Kai Rooney.
Caroline Rush, CEO, British Fashion Council, said: "Justine has created a world-renowned fashion destination in Cricket, stocking a desirable edit of designers from around the world while supporting the latest creative talent emerging from the UK.
"The launch of cricket-fashion.com will be a fantastic extension to the store and I look forward to seeing her drive for creativity and innovation paired with Alec's dynamic creative image direction."
