Christian Pulisic has a secret admirer and he lives in the Merseyside. His name, Jurgen Klopp.
It would be an absolute match made in heaven if you ask me. Perfect solution for Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah as Liverpool prepare for the eventuality of potentially losing both players in the summer transfer window.
One thing we know about Jurgen Klopp is that he can cultivate talent like no other. What he has done with his side is an astronomical achievement and it could be the perfect fit for Christian Pulisic.
For the right price of course.
Liverpool fans have grown in their frustrations with one of their main stars this season. I wouldn’t mind bringing him over to the bridge in a swap deal.
Chelsea has a goal-scoring issue, Liverpool has goal-scoring machines. Sadio Mane has been on the brunt end of Liverpool fans' frustrations this season whilst Christian Pulisic has been on ours. Whilst both players share similar attributes, they could provide something different for the other club.
Mane has scored, 10 goals so far this season in all competitions, whereas Pulisic has scored three. To be fair to Pulisic, he hasn’t necessarily been used to the best of his ability since the arrival of Thomas Tuchel. There have been some ups and downs to his form and he has struggled for a permanent position in the Chelsea starting 11.
In fact, none of the forwards at Chelsea have made an impact strong enough to warrant a start in the front three. Chelsea is in need of a spark in their attack and Sadio Mane could be just that. He is already Premier League proven and his best form has produced golden boot winning seasons. We speak about the missing pieces to Chelsea’s puzzle quite often, and though Romelu Lukaku was bought to fill the void, an even bigger one was created. According to Transfer Markt, Mane is valued at £72 Million, the lowest that it has been for 4 years.
The blues need a creative, direct winger that can get them the goals and is not afraid to take risks.
It is understandable that losing Christian Pulisic may not be on the top of a Chelsea fans transfer list however the magnitude of his injuries cannot go unnoticed. The best attribute for any player is availability and Pulisic struggles with this. It’s quite sad really, however, he is still very young.
The 23-year-old could rekindle with Jurgen Klopp and they can finish off what they ahd started. This wouldn’t be the first time that Klopp has worked with Christian Pulsic. He gave the American his first, first-team training session almost seven years ago.
Liverpool had previously made an £11million bid for the winger which was rejected in 2016 when Pulisic was only 17. On top of this,
According to El Nacional, Klopp has been a long-term admirer and has already informed the American of his hopes of bringing him to Anfield.
However, it is highly unlikely that Chelsea would sell to another Premier League club. Just like myself, the board probably already knows the potential that Pulisic has and cannot afford to gift another club with his talent.
But like I said, there’s a price for everything, and for the right price, Pulisic could be on his way to Liverpool. Just swing Sadio Mane our way and we can call it even.
