Liverpool's 2022/23 Premier League fixtures have been confirmed today, with the Reds taking on newly-promoted Fulham in their first game.
The Reds travel to Craven Cottage on on August 6 to take on Marco Silva's side, followed by a home game against Crystal Palace in the following week, with Jurgen Klopp's side facing a trip to Old Trafford on August 20 as they go up against Erik ten Hag's Manchester United.
Klopp's side missed out on the Premier League title by just one point last season, with Manchester City completing an unlikely comeback on the final day to clinch the title. And ahead of the new season, both sides have strengthened their squads, with Liverpool signing forward Darwin Nunez from Benfica, while City have signed Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund.

Virgil van Dijk made it 3-1 early in the second half.

Liverpool's trip to Old Trafford in their third game of the campaign produced their first dramatic late moment of the season, with Joel Matip scoring an 85th-minute winner to make it three wins out of three at the start of the season. In what was a fairly even game with chances at both ends, the Reds sealed the win late on.

New Liverpool signing Nunez grabbed his first Premier League goal of the campaign, and it was an important one too, with the former Benfica man scoring the only goal of the game in the Reds' 1-0 win at home to Bournemouth in their fourth game of the campaign. 2022/23 Premier League final standings
Liverpool's win against Manchester City in mid-October proved to be an absolutely superb result, with the Reds claiming the 2022/23 Premier League title ahead of City by just two points. Klopp's side scored more goals and conceded fewer than their title rivals, in what was a superb campaign in which they were only defeated twice.
