Liverpool 'real bad way' claim made after FSG put club 'up for sale'

Former Liverpool defender Stephen Warnock has explained how Fenway Sports Group helped get the club out of a “real bad way”.

Reports on Monday saw rumours that FSG are open to selling the club after 12 years of ownership. The American group have been stewards of the Reds since the £300m takeover in October 2010.

In a statement sent to the ECHO, FSG maintain they are "fully committed" to the ongoing success of the Reds under Jurgen Klopp but admit they are open to the possibility of further investment from elsewhere. It has led to increased speculation that the group could sell the club and permanently part ways after more than a decade at the helm.
