Liverpool are 'hoping' to lure Inter Milan star Marcelo Brozovic to Anfield.
Spanish outlet Fichajes suggests the Croatian is 'high up' on Jurgen Klopp 's list for midfield reinforcements in the upcoming transfer windows. The Reds opted not to revamp their midfield this summer, instead they intended to invest in that department in 2023. However, injuries forced their hand and they brought in Arthur Melo on a loan from Juventus on deadline day.
The centre of the park could be an area the Liverpool boss will be eager to look at in January and next summer and, if recent reports are anything to go by, Brozovic could be an option for the club. The 29-year-old joined Inter Milan from Dinamo Zagreb back in 2016 and has so far made just shy of 300 appearances for the Serie A giants.

Liverpool were linked with Brozovic over the summer, but reports were tentative at best and Inter will be in no rush to sell as the midfielder is under contract until 2026. He signed a fresh deal in March earlier this year and is reportedly earning upwards of £200,000 a week.
The article from Fichajes, though, claims the Reds would be willing to offer a two-year contract for the player with the option for a further year. He's also said to be attracting attention from both Paris Saint-Germain and Premier League rivals Manchester United.
So far this term, Brozovic has made seven appearances and scored two goals in Serie A against Torino and rivals AC Milan. However, he missed the weekend's defeat to Roma as he's currently sidelined with a thigh problem he picked up while on international duty and is anticipated to return in early November.
While midfield is no doubt an area Liverpool must strengthen sooner rather than later, it remains to be seen who their primary targets will be.. The club continue to be linked with Borussia Dortmund's Jude Bellingham, while Brighton's Moises Caicedo and Benfica's Enzo Fernandez are also rumoured targets, if reports over the summer were anything to go by.
