Alisson Becker 7
Good save from Moutinho early on but some passing out of the back was overly risky until addressed second half.
Trent Alexander-Arnold 7
Tried to release Salah whenever possible, distribution vastly improved on the weekend and put in a real shift defensively. Subbed.
Ibrahima Konate 7
Showed physical might at times and kept matters simple in possession. Got the better of Jimenez as the game progressed.

Virgil van Dijk 8
Solid enough first half and one good block denied Jimenez but really came into his own after break and good work to score the opener.
Kostas Tsimikas 7
Defensively stuck to his task and while set-piece deliveries were inconsistent, his part in the second goal was excellent.
Fabinho 8
On the front foot far more often first half and put Wolves under pressure. One shot blocked, but passed when in great position earlier. Much, much better. Booked.
Harvey Elliott 7
Lots of endeavour and energy and began to pick holes in Wolves defence. Missed big chance when heading wide and then forced decent save from Sa.
Stefan Bajcetic 7
Started very strongly and great tackle to deny Nunes, and enjoyed getting stuck into an at times bruising match. Doesn’t lack confidence and another good outing. Booked and subbed.
Mohamed Salah 7
Given very close attention by Wolves defence but still managed to wriggle into some dangerous positions. Persistence paid off with the second goal.
Diogo Jota 7
Almost connected with one Salah cross and pressing helped harass Wolves defence. Tired a bit second half but one run led to disallowed goal, and smashed an assist for Van Dijk. Subbed.
Darwin Nunez 7
Not as explosive as of late first half but got through a lot of good defensive work and began to become a real nuisance for Wolves defence. Subbed.
Cody Gakpo (for Jota 75) 7
Played important part in build-up to second goal.
Jordan Henderson (for Bajcetic 79)
Minutes for the skipper.
James Milner (for Alexander-Arnold 90)
Hello, sir.
Roberto Firmino (for Nunez 90)
Hola, senor.
