Alisson Becker 7
Fielded Antony curler and weak Rashford effort first half. Seemed intent on gifting United chances for a period second half, however.
Trent Alexander-Arnold 8
Started strongly going forward but gradually asked to do more defensively, which he fully embraced. Fine showing.
Ibrahima Konate 8
Alert to intercept a number of potentially dangerous passes and stepped out of defence with confidence. Really good.

Virgil van Dijk 8
Eager not to be involved in a foot race with Rashford and no-nonsense in his clearances. Back to his best.
Andy Robertson 10
Offered himself regularly going forward on the overlap and defended with passion. Superb pass for opener and generally quite brilliant. Annoyed Antony, too.
Fabinho 8
Began impressively as Liverpool pressed high before later becoming more required defensively. Much more like the Fabinho we know. Booked and subbed.
Jordan Henderson 8
Occasional lack of composure aside, first half was packed with usual hustle and bustle plus some neat touches. Key part in the second goal and crossed for the fifth. Subbed.
Harvey Elliott 8
Excellent in the opening quarter when Liverpool were on top but started to lose possession too easily before break. Assisted the second. Subbed.
Mohamed Salah 10
Given little protection for the officials but perseverance rewarded with two goals, two assists and now the record Premier League scorer for the Reds. What a player.
Cody Gakpo 9
Won an awful lot in the air early on and built on that with a brilliant finish for the first and excellent play to initiate and score the third. Subbed.
Darwin Nunez 8
Asleep defensively at times and cut on to his right foot a bit too often when in space first half, but in right place to head in second and the fifth. Subbed.
Diogo Jota (for Nunez 78)
A proper pest for United during his cameo.
Stefan Bajcetic (for Henderson 78)
Irked Fernandes, which should really earn him a 10 by default really.
Roberto Firmino (for Gakpo 78)
A tremendous reception bettered by the reaction to him scoring the seventh.
James Milner (for Fabinho 78)
Hello, sir.
Curtis Jones (for Elliott 78)
Welcome minutes.
