Alisson Becker 7
Claimed a few crosses but left totally exposed for the opener. Not much to do second half.
Joe Gomez 7
Physical and decisive at right-back up against Kent, escaped after one blind backpass and put in excellent pass for Firmino’s second. Booked.
Ibrahima Konate 7
More sure-footed than in his Arsenal cameo and great block to deny Arfield just before break. Grew in confidence as game progressed. Subbed.

Virgil van Dijk 7
Won some decent headers up against Colak and led the line with increasing assurance. Better.
Kostas Tsimikas 7
Tough time up against Fashion Jr which ended honours even first half before taking control after break. Delivered corner for equaliser. Subbed.
Fabinho 7
Slightly more bright that of late but sometimes caught surprisingly high up the pitch until locking down position in second half.
Jordan Henderson 7
Saw a lot of the ball in the early stages but his job became more facing towards his own goal after that. More space as Liverpool dominated second half. Subbed.
Harvey Elliott 8
Good touches in opening moments and one driving run at Rangers defence and really came into his own after break, touch setting Gomez away to set up second and scored the seventh.
Roberto Firmino 9
Took his two goals brilliantly and cute back flick set up another for Nunez. Pressed well and a real threat in the deeper attacking position. Subbed.
Fabio Carvalho 7
Started nervously, lost ball in build-up to Rangers opener but began to shine in second half and involved in build-up to third goal.
Darwin Nunez 7
Didn’t get much joy up against former Reds defender Davies before the interval but kept at it and was rewarded by more opportunities leading to a well-taken goal. Subbed.
Thiago Alcantara (for Henderson 68) 6
Almost set Salah up for a chance and kept things simple in midfield.
Andy Robertson (for Tsimikas 68) 7
Good to see him raiding down the left again.
Mohamed Salah (for Nunez 68) 9
A six-minute hat-trick with three outrageous finishes.
Diogo Jota (for Firmino 73) 8
Could claim three assists for Salah’s hat-trick.
James Milner (for Konate 79)
Yo.
