Liverpool hopes of a top four finish and Champions League football for next season remain alive following Monday’s win at Leicester City.
A first half double from Curtis Jones and a stunning free-kick from Trent Alexander-Arnold set the Reds on course for a comfortable three points against a desperately underwhelming Leicester side, who now look destined for relegation.
While things are going smoothly on the pitch at the moment, there continues to be a degree of turbulence behind the scenes at Anfield as the summer transfer window quickly approaches.
Here, Mirror Football rounds up the latest Liverpool news.
Edwards tipped for Prem return
Former Liverpool transfer chief Michael Edwards is being considered by West Ham as their new director of football.
Edwards left his role as Liverpool's sporting director at the end of last season and has been out of football since. However, he is believed to want a return to the game with several clubs interested in attaining his services.
West Ham are said to highly value the potential appointment of Edwards, with the Hammers desperate to improve their recruitment. They are also said to be considering Monaco's Paul Mitchell, Brentford's Lee Dykes, Atalanta's Lee Congerton and former Leeds chief Victor Orta.

Reds face another transfer exit
David Woodfine, Liverpool’s director of loan management, is set to leave the club this summer.
The Reds are already set to be without a sporting director at the end of the current season, with Julian Ward leaving the club – following on from the relatively recent departure of Edwards.
Woodfine has worked behind the scenes at Liverpool since 2014, when he joined the club from West Ham. He was hired by Edwards, who had worked with him at Portsmouth.

Reds win comfortably at Leicester
Jurgen Klopp’s side remain hopeful of a top four finish as they recorded a comfortable three-goal victory at Leicester on Monday night.
That result lifted the Reds to within one point of both Newcastle and Manchester United, who remain third and fourth respectively, although Liverpool have played one game more.
Both Newcastle and Man United require six points or more from their final three league games to ensure they finish above Klopp’s team this campaign.
