Still, the fact Liverpool sit eight points adrift of long-time title rivals Manchester City and nine points behind league-leaders Arsenal will undoubtedly annoy Klopp.
Nearly a month would have passed between Liverpool's last Premier League fixture on September 3 and their next - a home clash against Brighton on October 1. Given how vocal Klopp often is in his opposition of the hectic fixture list, perhaps the Reds boss welcomed the unexpected break.
