Liverpool edged through to the fourth round of the EFL Cup to add to a dramatic week of events at Anfield.
On Monday, it was announced by Fenway Sport Group that the club was up for sale. Via the Athletic, a statement read: "There have been a number of recent changes of ownership and rumours of changes in ownership at English Premier League clubs and inevitably we are asked regularly about Fenway Sports Group's ownership in Liverpool."
"FSG has frequently received expressions of interest from third parties seeking to become shareholders in Liverpool. FSG has said before that under the right terms and conditions we would consider new shareholders if it was in the best interests of Liverpool as a club. FSG remains fully committed to the success of Liverpool, both on and off the pitch."
But when Derby County came to Merseyside on Wednesday, the Reds were looking for goals rather than bidders. Fortunately, Jurgen Klopp 's men made it through following a nervy 0-0 draw after 90 minutes, thanks to a penalty shoot-out victory and the brilliance of Caoimhin Kelleher.
Here's a round-up of the latest news from Anfield.
Reds sneak through on penalties
It wasn't as straightforward of a night as supporters expected when League One Derby County rocked up at Anfield. A spirited performance from the Pride Park side, coupled with Liverpool's woes in front of goal, meant the match went to penalties.
And then came Caoimhin Kelleher. The Irishman saved three penalties to deny Derby a famous night, ensuring that Jurgen Klopp's side went into the hat for round four. Reds wonderkid Ben Doak made his debut as a late substitute, while Calvin Ramsay took his chance at right-back.

Klopp confirms his future
Jurgen Klopp is fully committed to Liverpool - regardless of whether their takeover goes through or not. While Fenway Sports Group are believed to be months away from officially selling, the Reds boss has already told the club's next owners where he'll be once they arrive at Anfield with bucket loads of cash.
"What I read they are looking for investment. Good idea, I like that," Klopp declared after Wednesday's nail-biting win. "For me, it means nothing, whatever happens, if it does change, I am committed to the club."

Kelleher sets new record
What a night it was for Caoimhin Kelleher. With not one, not two, but three stunning penalty saves in the shoot-out, the Republic of Ireland international set a new record at Liverpool.
The shot-stopper has now helped the Reds win four penalty shout-outs, more than any other goalkeeper in the club's illustrious history. Klopp heaped praised on Kelleher post-match, saying: "Wow. And they were all really good penalties, right in the corner. He is exceptional."
