Liverpool are settling into the international break, with Jurgen Klopp mulling over recent results and plotting a way forward.
The Reds have 12 Premier League games left this season in which to make some sort of amends after crashing out of the Champions League and falling short in the cup competitions.
While many players have jetted off to join their international teams, plenty remain on Merseyside, where they will be given some time to rest and recuperate before getting back to business on the training ground.
Liverpool are not in action until April 1, when they face Manchester City in the Premier League, but there’s plenty going on still. Here are the latest headlines from the club.
Haaland injured
Erling Haaland has been forced to pull out of Norway’s upcoming matches against Spain and Georgia with a groin injury.
The Manchester City striker picked up the problem during the 6-0 demolition of Burnley in the FA Cup quarter-finals on the weekend.
Haaland has been in red-hot form recently, scoring 10 goals in his past five matches for City, but is now facing a race to be fit for the all-important clash with Liverpool after the international break on April 1.
Man Utd eyeing Grujic
It never happened for Marko Grujic at Liverpool, with the Serbian midfielder only making 16 appearances for the club during the four years he spent on the club’s books.
Now 26, Grujic has established himself at Porto and is attracting admiring glances from across Europe.
Manchester United are said to have made 'serious contact' with his representatives, but there are some problems with a deal.
Grujic was a childhood Liverpool fan and may be reluctant to move to Old Trafford in the summer.
Top-four race outlined
Liverpool have one focus for the remainder of the season: to qualify for the Champions League.
The Reds are currently in sixth place, seven points behind fourth-placed Tottenham with two games in hand. Their form has been very patchy this season, with the 7-0 win over Manchester United followed by a 1-0 defeat by Bournemouth.
They have 12 games left to make things right and book a place in next season’s Champions League. Doing so will be crucial in trying to land top transfer targets like Jude Bellingham.
