Liverpool McDonald's branch shuts as fast food giant gives reopening date

A popular McDonald's branch has temporarily closed its doors for a month-long refurbishment.

The McDonald's restaurant on the Switch Island leisure park is temporarily closed while the fast food giant carries out work. A sign outside the restaurant on Dunnings Bridge Road, Bootle notifies customers that the restaurant will be "closed for now".

The restaurant, which is opened 24-hours a day, is directing customers to other city restaurants while its doors remain closed. A spokesperson for the global chain told the ECHO : "The restaurant is currently being refurbished".
