Liverpool couldn't have been handed a tougher draw on Thursday night when they were put against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.
The Reds came through a penalty shootout against League One side Derby County to carry on their defence of the trophy while City beat Chelsea 2-0 at the Etihad Stadium.
However, Jurgen Klopp may well be thinking the tie will come at a good time for Liverpool as City have a lot more players heading to the World Cup than the Reds do and the chance to play a strong side will present itself.

The fourth round is due to take place week commencing 19th December and players could have been involved in the World Cup final just days before.
Klopp could deploy the likes of Mohamed Salah, Andy Robertson and Roberto Firmino for the match as they missed out on World Cup participation. As things stand, just seven Liverpool players will travel to Qatar compared to City's 17.
Here is a look at which players will go to the World Cup from both sides...
Liverpool
Brazil - Alisson Becker, Fabinho
The tournament favourites for the competition will have two Liverpool players in their squad with Alisson likely to be number one ahead of City's Ederson. Fabinho will most likely have to settle for a place on the bench. Firmino will feel very unlucky to not have been named in the squad.
England - Trent Alexander-Arnold, Jordan Henderson
Despite not playing a huge role for England on the field in recent years, Henderson is a leader off it and Gareth Southgate is a massive fan of his. Alexander-Arnold was an initial doubt for the squad, but is now on the plane.
Holland - Virgil van Dijk
The captain of Holland will be expected to lead his side through the tournament in what is his first major competition for his country.
France - Ibrahima Konate
The young France defender has realised one of his childhood dreams by being named in Didier Deschamps' squad as they look to defend their crown. Konate is fully deserving of his spot after a fine first season for Liverpool.
Uruguay - Darwin Nunez
Nunez is ready to bring the chaos to Qatar after a good start to life in Liverpool red. The forward will partner ex-Reds star Luis Suarez in the forward line for the South American side.
City
Brazil - Ederson
England - Kalvin Phillips, John Stones, Kyle Walker, Jack Grealish, Phil Foden
Portugal - Ruben Dias, Joao Cancelo, Bernardo Silva
Belgium - Kevin De Bruyne
Switzerland - Manuel Akanji
Holland - Nathan Ake
Germany - Ilkay Gundogan
Spain - Aymeric Laporte, Rodri
Argentina - Julian Alvarez
USA - Zack Stefan
