With now just less than two weeks to go in the January transfer window, it's looking increasingly unlikely that Liverpool will not conduct any business.
It's been expected that Liverpool would have a quiet transfer window - although struggling with a few injuries while key players Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Naby Keita remain away from the group whilst competing in AFCON.
However, what we have seen in previous years is that Liverpool have been pretty shrewd to quietly get deals done quickly if the right one is available.
January moves for Takumi Minamino, Ozan Kabak and Ben Davies in the last two years all came about quickly with little speculation about a move before the club would officially announce the signing.

Liverpool continue to be linked with a few names this window, and whilst any marquee signings now seem unlikely, a deal for a younger player on a cheaper deal is something the club will always be on the lookout for.
Here's the latest transfer rumours surrounding Liverpool this morning.
Who?
Bayer Leverkusen attacker Florian Wirtz
What?
One of the more underrated storylines surrounding Liverpool at the minute is that Mohamed Salah is not the only Liverpool attacker who's contract will expire next season, with Sadio Mane also set to become a free agent in 2023.
Set to become 30 years old next season, Liverpool will be looking for alternate options, especially should Mane choose to leave the club.

And one man who tipped to replace him is German teenager Florian Wirtz.
Bundesliga legend Karl-Heinz Korbel has tipped Liverpool to sign Wirtz, with SI also reporting Liverpool's interest in the attacking midfielder.
The teenager has 8 goals and 12 assists in the Bundesliga this season, and will not turn 19 until May.
Who?
Nantes attacker Randal Kolo Muani
What?
German source Bild have reported that Liverpool could make a late push to bring in France U21 striker Randal Kolo Muani, who has been linked with a move away from Nantes to Eintract Frankfurt.
The French false 9 is set to become a free agent this summer and is enjoying a solid season in Ligue 1 with seven goals and three assists in 19 games.
Kolo Muani has drawn attention, with similarities to current Liverpool striker Divock Origi, who looks set to leave the club as a free agent himself in the summer.
The 23-year-old has been linked with a move to the Bundesliga, but Bild believe Liverpool could hijack the deal.
Who?
Lyon winger Rayan Cherki
What?
Another highly-rated prospect attracting Liverpool's attention, according to reports, is Lyon's Rayan Cherki.
According to L’Equipe, the Reds are one of a number of clubs interested in signing the attacker who can play anywhere across the front three.
And now, HITC have reported a claim from L’Equipe that Liverpool are looking to sign Cherki, with the teenager supposedly dissatisfied with a lack of game time and is looking to move on.
The forward hit the headlines when he became the third youngest player to ever make his Champions League debut as a 16-year-old and, two years on, is being linked with a move away.
Per FBRef, Cherki is in the top four percent of attacking midfielders and wingers for dribbles completed, and the leading one percent for progressive carries (those which progress the ball at least five yards towards the opponent’s goal, or into their box).
